Hand-forged in Nova Scotia/Mi'kma'ki from recycled steel, this broadfork makes soil prep easy, sustainable, and satisfying. Aerate beds, mix in compost, and harvest root veggies—no fuel, noise, or heavy machinery needed. Each tool develops its own unique patina over time. A must-have for your regenerative, no-till garden. Local pickup only.
MATERIAL: Frame and handles are made from mild steel. Tines are hand-forged from recycled leaf spring.
SPECS: Overall length is approximately 5 feet. Handles are 4 feet long. Tines are 12” long.
FINISH: This broadfork comes in raw steel, designed to develop a durable, long-term patina over time. Leave it outside whenever possible until it forms a surface layer of rust (this can take up to two years). Once the patina has developed, wipe with boiled linseed oil for added protection.
Hand-forged by Ruben Irons in Brookland, Pictou County, Nova Scotia.

Broadfork Disclaimer
This broadfork is not intended for breaking new ground in heavily compacted soil. When used for its designed purposes, it should last for generations.
If it does break, a local welding shop can likely repair it. If you are local to me, you’re also welcome to bring it directly to me — I will likely fix it at no charge, provided it was not used to break heavily compacted ground or to uproot established trees or shrubs.
