Hand-forged in Nova Scotia/Mi'kma'ki from recycled steel, this broadfork makes soil prep easy, sustainable, and satisfying. Aerate beds, mix in compost, and harvest root veggies—no fuel, noise, or heavy machinery needed. Each tool develops its own unique patina over time. Local pickup only.

    MATERIAL
: Frame and handles are made from mild steel. Tines are hand-forged from recycled leaf spring.

SPECS: Overall length is approximately 5 feet. Handles are 4 feet long. Tines are 12” long.

FINISH: This broadfork comes in raw steel, designed to develop a durable, long-term patina over time. Leave it outside whenever possible until it forms a surface layer of rust (this can take up to two years). Once the patina has developed, wipe with boiled linseed oil for added protection.

Hand-forged by Ruben Irons in Brookland, Pictou County, Nova Scotia.

LOCAL PICKUP ONLY: We are not shipping these at this time, except in special cases—please reach out if you’d like to explore what’s possible.

Custom measurements are available. Please contact us before placing your order.
