Makes a bold, graceful statement! Let this hand forged bowl speak for itself as a sculptural piece on its own or use it to hold a candle or your cherished treasures. Each bowl is slightly different, embracing wabi-sabi, the Japanese aesthetic that celebrates imperfection.
Our Wabi Sabi Bowl is heated in the forge and hammered into shape on the anvil by Ruben Irons, Artist Blacksmith. Unique marks of character speak to the ancient craft of blacksmithing and the subtleties of the particular piece of mild steel (contains iron). The bowl has a raw beeswax finish to preserve the industrial steel grey colour.
Each is one-of-a-kind with overall measurements remaining similar: approximately 2.5" high, 6.25" across and the flattened bowl bottom is about 2.75" in diameter, allowing for a stable base. The bowl is made out of 1/4" plate. The piece weighs approximately 2.25 lbs.
